27 December 2008 - Romanov has competed in the 3* show in Mechelen and he was placed 6th in the opening 1.45m class and 10th in the second finishing 4th overall from 54 competitors to be one of the five qualifiers for the 5* Grand Prix. 19 December 2008 - Romanov has been placed in a 1.50m class at the prestigious 5* show at La Coruna in Spain. 18 October 2008 - Romanov has moved on to the World Cup qualifying show in Helsinki. On Saturday he finished 10th in the Grand Prix. 12 October 2008 - Romanov competed at his first World Cup qualifying show this weekend in the Norwegian capital city of Oslo. He jumped double clear in the opening day's 1.50m class to finish tenth. 28 September 2008 - Romanov was in superb form during the Horse of the Year Wild Card Qualifier at Towerlands this weekend. Having competed outdoors the week before in Italy, he took to indoors competition very well and won the overall competition by a massive 10 points being the only horse not to have a fence all weekend. In the 1.40m jump off class on Friday he finished 4th. He improved to 3rd in the 1.45m speed class on Saturday before finishing 2nd in the 1.50m Grand Prix on Sunday. 31 August 2008 - Romanov finished off a successful weekend at the CSI3* Den Haag Benelux Open Championship by jumping double clear in the 1.60m Grand Prix to finish 3rd behind the winner Yves Houtackers and Liza Minelli. Earlier in the show Romanov had finished 8th in a 1.50m jump off class. In the overall standings for the weekend he finished 4th in the Championship. 10 August 2008 - Romanov was selected as part of the British 5 strong squad for the Super League show at Royal Dublin Horse Show and finished in the money. The rest of the squad for the Nations Cup were Nick Skelton on Arko, Tim Gredley on Omelli, Peter Charles on Rubert and Robert Smith on Vangelis. Philip and Romanov were reserves for the Nations Cup which the others won in fine form. Romanov qualified for the Grand Prix and in the Power & Speed 1.50m class he finished 6th behind Jessica Kuerten and Castle Forbes Cosma. 27 July 2008 - Romanov has been in fine form at the CSI3* in Vimeiro. He finished 4th in the Grand Prix behind Michel Blaton on Kalimera. 13 July 2008 - Romanov has been in fine form at the CSI3* in Vichy. On the first day he finished 4th in the Big Tour jump off class with a double clear. On Sunday he kept another clean sheet to finish 4th in the Grand Prix behind Jerome Hurel and Kho de Presle. 15 June 2008 - Romanov finished his successful tour of Portugal by finishing 6th in the Grand Prix at CSI4* Portimao behind Graham Lovegrove on Pandur. 8 June 2008 - Romanov jumped double clear to finish 2nd in the Grand Prix at CSI4* Ponte de Lima behind Michel Hecart on Tini Candy.
March 2008 - Romanov has been placed 2nd and 8th on two occasions in 1.50m classes and 10th in a 1.45m jump off class during the March Toscana Tour in Arezzo. He was also 10th in the week 2 Grand Prix won by Daniel Deusser and Air Jordan. January 2008 - We are very proud to announce that Romanov was ranked 133rd in the FEI Best Horse and Rider Combination for 2007.
9 December 2007 - Romanov was placed 4th in the Grand Prix at CSI3* Porto behind Tomas Couve on Madona VII. 1 December 2007 - Romanov won the Addington Manor Christmas Grand Prix in an exciting 'Take Your Own Line' jump off ahead of Guy Williams, Sophie Tobin, Tim Stockdale and Robert Smith. 21 October 2007 - Romanov won the Prix Toubin Clement - Master Stallion class at CSI3* Caen, ahead of Roger Yves Bost on Jalis de Riverland.

has today won the Sport Horse Foal Class and the Hunter Foal Class at Bucks County. 22 July 2007 - Romanov has had a successful trip to the CSI 2* in Le Touquet, France and two CSI 3* shows in Vimeiro, Portugal. He jumped in five world ranking classes and picked up points in all five, with his best results being 2nd and 4th in 1.50m classes in Vimeiro. 19 June 2007 - Romanov has been upgraded to a Gold BSJA Elite Stallion as a result of his appearance on a British Nations Cup Team at the CSIO4* Nations Cup show in Hamina, Finland. 17 June 2007 - Romanov made his first appearance on a British Team this weekend at the CSIO4* Nations Cup show in Hamina, Finland. The team made their own piece of history by being the first GB Nations Cup team to compete in Finland since the Gold Medal winning team (including Foxhunter) at the Helsinki Olympic Games in 1952. Fittingly Romanov was one of two Foxhunter Champions on the team, the other being Opportunity B. The team of 2007 finished 5th with Romanov jumping for four faults in round one and an extremely unlucky eight faults in round 2. At the same show Romanov jumped one of only five clear rounds in the the first round of the Grand Prix. |
