Romanov is an elite stallion with the Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain, approved by the Anglo European Studbook and the holder of a Gold BSJA Elite Stallion Disc.

Romanov has career winnings to date of over £85,000.

Romanov first appeared on a British Nations Cup Team in 2007, firstly in Hamina (Finland) and secondly in Lisbon (Portugal).  In 2008 he jumped clear in the first round to help Team GB win the CSIO5* Nations Cup in Lisbon.  He was reserve for the Super League Team in Dublin.

Romanov's youngstock are not yet old enough to be jumping competitively but are very correct, showing great athleticism and their sire's fabulous nature.  Click here for link to his progeny page.

Pedigree

Romanov's pedigree contains an enviable array of showjumping and breeding superstars from the KWPN, the Holstein Verband, the BWP, the Hannoverian Verband and the Selle Francais and Zangersheide Studbooks.  No wonder he jumps!!

HEARTBREAKER, is by the world famous Nimmerdor (the KWPN Stallion of the 20th Century).  Heartbreaker's international successes included the "Best Stallion" title in Zwolle, the Championat of Dortmund and in 2000 he won the Leading Showjumper of the Year at the Horse of the Year Show at Wembley.  He also finished fourth in the prestigious Grand Prix of Aachen and competed in the Nations Cup Final.

In Belgium and Holland, Heartbreaker was the leading stallion in the BWP and KWPN breeding rankings for jumping for three years.  Offspring performing at the top level include Orlando (Dirk Demeersman), Toulon (Hubert Bourdy), Skybreaker, Quintin and Quasimodo van de Molendreef.

Romanov's dam, NARZISSE, is a KWPN ster mare from the Holstein family 2027.  Narzisse is also the dam of Romanov's younger full brother, the approved stallion Wolhearth.  Narzisse's sire, FEDOR was an international showjumper with Peter Geerink and a KWPN keur stallion.   Narzisse's dam, CIRKENESS, is also maternal granddam to the approved stallion Budweiser.

AHORN Z is a son of the legendary Alme, who has produced many top international jumpers and breeding stallions. Ahorn Z's dam Heureka, competed internationally and won the Grand Prix of Aachen.  She then became the foundation broodmare for the Zangersheide Stud. Ahorn Z is a full brother to Argentina Z, dam of Olympic Gold Medalist and World Cup Champion, Ratina Z.

REIZVOLLE is the full sister to the international jumper Lovely Boy.  Her sire, LANDGRAF, is the symbol of the modern Holsteiner Sport Horse and is known for passing on his wonderful temperament, top-class movement and world-class jump.  The list of his showjumping offspring is endless, but includes Freestyle (winner of the Aachen Grand Prix), Libero (World Cup Champion), Taggi, Burggraaf and Waterford Crystal.
